CINDY MELENDEZ

Cindy specializes in working with youth and their parents. Having worked within residential programs for at-risk youth she is extremely effective in assisting families with communication, skill development, growth, and healing. She has also worked in school settings (K-12) supporting students in crisis, facing anxiety, depression, neurodiversity and school challenges. She is an experienced parent coach who has taught countless parenting courses within the community and at schools. Her approach is based on individualized care and creating a plan that works for each unique family. She is bilingual and has the unique experience of delivering therapeutic sessions in Spanish. She completed her master’s degree at San Jose State University in Counselor Education. She also pursued her Pupil Personal Credential. She has also worked at a large bay area nonprofit  that focuses on support for school aged children. She enjoys working with children of all ages and backgrounds and loves to use play therapy to encourage clients to become open and engaged. 

 

When not in office, Cindy keeps busy with her 2 young children and pomchi (Pomeranian Chihuahua) named Wednesday. She also enjoys cooking and dancing.
