Hello!
Welcome to my page. It is my honor to share with you some of my experiences and skills that may help you on your mental health journey. I believe that through partnering with you we can find new ways of coping with life's challenges.
I am experienced in uplifting my clients by providing a culturally competent warm exploratory space for their therapeutic journey. Through the creation of this safe space, we can engage in a collaborative explorative process to focus on achieving and maintaining desired outcomes. I value your unique experiences and embracing your individuality in order to further your personal growth.
My approach is a blend of Person-centered therapy, Narrative therapy, Emotion-focused therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in the power of a collaborative, client-centered therapeutic process where clients are active participants in their healing process. Working alongside the client, I hope that we can embark on a journey of self-discovery or personal transformation through the creation of narratives that lead to meaningful change.
I hold a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Beacon Wellness Team I worked at a school-based site. Here I was responsible for running psychoeducational workshops for parents/teens and running academic support groups for students.
When I am not in the office I can be found completing a crafting project or out for a swim!
Have a nice day,
Mayu
