Amanda specializes in working with youth, couples and families to reduce stress, address shame, and build self-esteem. Amanda is passionate about providing a safe space for vulnerability and for different emotional experiences. She believes everyone should have a place in which they can be their true and authentic self. Amanda understands the unique needs of gifted, 2e, and neurodiverse individuals. She is experienced working with youth diagnosed with autism and in working with integrating sensory needs, creative art, and imaginative play. She helps individuals learn to validate their emotional experiences, address unwanted or unhealthy behaviors, and process difficult thought patterns. Her approach is emotion focused and interpersonal process with interventions rooted in behaviorism. Amanda holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Humboldt State University.
Outside of therapy, Amanda loves to grow orchids and bake with her husband and son.
