AMANDA RAMOS
ASsociate Marriage and family therapist # 127844

Amanda's work with children and adults aims to validate their emotional experiences, address unwanted or unhelpful behaviors and to process through difficult thought patterns. She is experienced in working with asynchronous development, emotional intensity and sensory-based play. She works with youth to develop a healthy sense of self, develop emotional regulation skills and to practice healthy communication skills.

Amanda's approach is emotion focused and interpersonal and many of her interventions are rooted in behaviorism. She incorporate the interests of my clients into creative approaches, art activities and conversation. This allows her to make growth and coping skills accessible and interesting.

She received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Humboldt State University. Prior to working with Beacon Wellness Team Amanda worked with children and adolescents who are diagnosed with autism. In addition, she has extensive experience mentoring high school students and college aged individuals.

When not working with clients she finds joy in being creative and always seem to have multiple craft and art projects in progress. She is a mother and wife and you can often find them out on bike rides together.

Amanda is supervised by Gina Garcia, LMFT #118696
