Individual Therapy

Mental health is crucial at every stage of life.

Our individual therapy services are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where we empower children, teens, and adults to realize their strengths and navigate their challenges.

Children

Using sensory-based play, art, movement, emotional processing, and direct learning, we empower children to express their needs and to develop healthy coping skills. Our work focuses on creating a trusting relationship between our clients, their parents, and the therapist. We want our clients to learn to understand who they are and build trust in their selves to successfully meet their own goals - be it maintaining friendships, reducing anxiety, understanding their emotions, or helping make school a little better. Our clients often benefit from understanding how their mind works, making sense of asynchronous development, and processing their intense emotions. We aim to create a sensory safe environment and bring sensory-based play and interventions into the work that we do with our child clients. Our San Jose office has a special dedicated sensory-play room.

Teens

The tween and teen years are a time of much growth and change. It brings significant emotional and psychological changes and a natural desire to connect with those outside the family. From academic pressure to peer relationships and identity development, our therapists offer support for teens struggling with anxiety, depression, self-concept, substance use, and more. We help teens build resilience, improve self-awareness, and strengthen their emotional toolkit for navigating life's ups and downs. Due to their age, our work with tweens and teens tend to have less parent involvement than that of our child clients, but the relationship and trust between parents, client, and clinician is pivotal in the success of therapy. We meet them where they are and help them trust the process. This may mean we process experiences with talk therapy or bring in a game or art activity to help them build upon their strengths.

Adults

A safe, supportive space where you can explore personal challenges, gain insights, and develop strategies for emotional well-being. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, parenting, or trauma, therapy provides a path to greater self-awareness, improved coping skills, and healthier relationships. We provide a space to explore who you are today, who you have been in the past, and who you would like to be in the future. We work with you in various ways, including talk therapy, art interventions, and education. However, we would also love to play a game if your in need of a short return to the playfulness of childhood.  Working with a therapist helps adults navigate their unique experiences, fostering growth, and resilience in a compassionate, non-judgmental environment. As with all therapy, your work is confidential and we maintain the highest level of security and privacy with your information.

Whether you're looking to cope with stress, manage emotions, or heal from past experiences,
our therapy sessions provide personalized care tailored to your unique needs.
